SDH Institute Pte Ltd is a hospitality school located in Singapore. It is registered with the Council of Private Education under the Singapore Ministry of Education. The School D' Hospitality offers higher education programs from certificate to postgraduate levels in hospitality, leisure and tourism studies. It has a teacher to student ratio at 1:40 for lectures and 1:20 for tutorials with support from full-time lecturers. The school was established in 2007 as School D' Hospitality. It changed to its current name on 8 October 2012. ==Certification== The School D' Hospitality has achieved the ISO9001:2008 management standards certification for its Academic Quality Management System. School D’Hospitality is amongst a small group of Private Education Institutions in Singapore to be awarded the EduTrust Certification by the Council for Private Education in Singapore. The EduTrust certification is awarded to Private Education Institutions for excellence and maintaining standards of education. The School D' Hospitality is an Accredited Education Centre of Association of Business Executives of the United Kingdom and an Approved Training Organisation of the Workforce Development Agency of Singapore. On 30 August 2011, School D'Hospitality was awarded the Pretigious 4-Year EduTrust certification by the Council for Private Education (CPE) of Singapore. This achievement distinguishes School D’Hospitality as one of the higher quality private education providers in Singapore. There are only forty-four 4-year Edutrust certified PEIs amongst the 339 PEIs registered with CPE. Only Edutrust-certified PEIs can accept international students, who require student passes from the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) of Singapore. 4-year Edutrust certified PEIs enjoy “green lane” privilege from ICA including shorter processing time and the waiving of the need for interview at the Singapore Embassy in Beijing for students from China. The 4-year Edutrust certification also proves our ability to deliver excellent student support and is a testament to the highest degree of corporate governance and academic quality assurance we have instituted in our school. On 10 September 2011, School D'Hospitality was officially appointed as an Approved Centre of Edexcel (UK) to provide Edexcel BTEC Level 5 HND Diploma in Hospitality Management programme in Singapore. The attainment of the Approved Centre status reflects SD’H commitment to the quality of Edexcel’s training and education programmes. The Edexcel BTEC Level 5 HND Diploma in Hospitality Management programme is designed to equip students with the knowledge, understanding and skills required for progression to an undergraduate degree. Such qualification may be accepted by overseas universities with advanced credit standing when applying for degree courses.
